ChatDock does not collect, store, or transmit any user data. Everything happens locally in your browser.

What data does ChatDock access?

ChatDock reads the content of AI conversation pages (ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini) only when you actively use the extension to export a conversation. This content is processed entirely within your browser to generate the export file.

What data does ChatDock store?

ChatDock stores only one piece of data in your browser's local storage: the position of the floating export button on the page. This is a simple coordinate pair (x, y) and contains no personal information.

What data does ChatDock send to external servers?

None. ChatDock has no backend server, no analytics, no tracking, no telemetry, and no third-party integrations. Your conversations never leave your browser.

Permissions

• activeTab — Allows ChatDock to read the current tab's content when you use the extension. This is the minimum permission needed to parse conversations.
• clipboardWrite — Allows ChatDock to copy exported content to your clipboard when you click "Copy".

Third-party services

ChatDock does not use any third-party services, SDKs, or libraries. The extension is entirely self-contained.
